Snow hunting

First visit to town today since the most recent snowfall so thought I’d have a scout around to see what snow I could find… as if I haven’t already done enough snow shots.

Well, the town centre itself was virtually clear. A coupla little pockets here and there but nothing even worth brandishing the camera for.

So trolled along by the river, in the opposite direction to the one I normally frequent. A slightly better result, but it was quite obvious that most of the remaining snowfall was actually on the other side.

Over what’s called the County Bridge then and back that side towards the town centre.

Your hunt for snow is certainly more likely to yield results than would one undertaken by me.

Almost all of our snow is gone now that we’ve had four straight days well above freezing. And some rain. And more rain on the way tonight.

Drat. I was really enjoying the very cold and snowy weather. Hope we get more soon.

Well, I was sort of hoping to get out again sometime today for some long-distance shots of snow-covered hills on the horizon sorta thing, but from the looks of the way the day’s starting (its 0755 as I write this) the remaining snow’s not gonna last very long at all (bright sunshine and all that).
